The brand for the Butterfly Ball had to capture the essence of both the night and the spirit of the Down Syndrome Association.
With the theme of the Golden Age of Hollywood it made sense to blend the sophistication of the 40s with the elegance of a Butterfly in flight. Entwined in a dance, dressed in their finest, the two characters in the logo enfold together to create a sense of a butterfly dancing on the wind.
A splash of red is incorporated in the logo to complement the red of the Major Sponsor, Hino. The font was selected to reflect the look, and the brand designed for use in vertical and horizontal formats as well as for use on black backgrounds.
