For an understanding of the concept behind the joint branding of the Geographe Bay region take a look at the GBTA brand information here.
In this section we focus on the differences between the brands.
The major difference between the GBTA and the Shire of Busselton brand is the type style. GBTA has a loose free typestyle to associate itself with the freedom of holidays and getaways. For 'Shire of Busselton' the type is formal but friendly, which reflects the culture of the Shire.
A third colour has also been introduced to the Shire's brand. With the lighter blue and the green associating with the holiday destination feeling of Busselton, it was considered important that the Shire could adapt a more corporate approach when needed. The deep blue makes this possible, enhancing the other colours but also adding a level of formality to the brand.
This colour is used strongly throughout the Shires branding process. Careful use of this colour has enabled an image to be developed that is the same yet different to the GBTA.
